last one for a while

Well, we finally got some descent weather to blow through yesterday. Forecast called for rain with high winds turning into snow in the evening....that was for monday. While I wanted to go out I couldnt make it till today. Today was supposed to be mostly cloudy with temps in the mid 30's and scattered snow showers throughout the day. It wasnt to be, temps hovered around thier estimated mark but the snow was absent where I was hunting.

I thought for sure that this morning would be a banner morning, however the ducks didnt seem to agree with me. While I did see a ton of birds this morning they were high and going somewhere. I decided to wait it out and see what the afternoon flight would hold for me...man am I ever glad I did. From about 2:30 till 4 it was on fire. Damn near every duck I saw wanted into the blocks. I was able to pick and choose my birds easily and finished with a beautiful limit of ducks. Good thing too as It will be last day hunting for a few weeks, my wife has her planned c-section on friday morning were we will be expecting daughter #3 to make her appearance. I am pretty dang exctied about that. Good luck to all those heading out in the next few weeks.

Joe,
nice dog and pictures.
I am on daughter number two. Boy are you lucky.
Have a safe trip to the hospital. Keep us posted.

That first shot is a dandy. What beautiful country graces your presence. Nice bag limit. I am hoping that you sent a few down this way. I only saw two ducks in my three hours of hunting the rio.

Nice country Joe and I'm glad you got your limit. Curious, what boat is that you have there?

Oh, and good luck to you and your wife. Yowza, four women in the house....

Come on Joe, I'm sure you can manage a kitchen pass once in a while. Congrats on the new baby. Pops called the other day and said he was heading your way. Best to all.

Thanks guys!

Bill, thanks I appreciate it. I'm sure I can sneek away here and there but I'm not going to push my luck. I still have to the middle of janurary.
