A rig of Beanegat decoys to use with the sneakbox would put the project over the top.
Not only would it draw lots of folks attention, but would work just fine during gunning season.
About the oars. How do you decide upon the correct length and shape of the oars? Is there info from the boats history in that regard?
Cuz it sure looks as though with the right oars, and placement, that old sneakbox could really Move. I always enjoyed rowing my old sneakbox. Warms a person up, and puts a smile on yer face.
Here a few not very good photo's of the Bill Brown Black Duck. I didn't dust it off real good. The light stuff on the decoy is dust.
Even with a rather large lead pad. The decoy weight is 1lb.11oz. Just makes me shake my head...
Best regards
Vince
