Layout boats in Cleveland Ohio

On FBM Cleveland Ohio, there are 2 layouts for sale that are a very unusual design. If you look closely at the last picture you can read the makers name on it, and if I'm reading it right it says John Kalash. If indeed these are/were his boats I have never seen anything like it. I'm not that good with the computer or I would post the pictures. Have any of you ever seen these before, and I am wondering how in the world he made the well's, and on one of them he has handles piercing through the hull so how did he keep it from leaking? Interesting boats for sure.

This one, the 3 stacked up? They need some work, hope it is all 3 for $850! Bottom one looks like it might have a planning surface to tow it?
 
Those are local to me. Super heavy but I’ve been in some crap weather/waves and they’re stuck to the water. Definitely rough shape though. Hard to find good condition Kalash boats cheap around here at least

Three layouts sitting around for the last 27 years and he wants 850? The well on those boats will cure you of ever wanting to get into layout boat hunting. If you're feet aren't comfortable and upright you get about 15 minutes before your begging for mercy. Maybe he meant $8.50 and got the decimal point in the wrong spot.:giggle: Dave those are not the boats I saw. The one's I saw, one had rope handles pierced through the hull and it looked like they had applied tar to the spot they went through.
