I was told about a lake that had enough birds to block out the sun!!!! So of course I had to give it a try...

Well.. I don't know how many birds are there.. I would guess we saw 15000 birds rafting up.. but did not want to come to out decoys! They were not new... and do not get open water pressure... That being said.. we did have some new layout hunters.. that missed a few opportunities...

Phil, glad you found some success and that sounds like a sight to behold. You?re link, however, doesn?t seem to be working

HAHA.. I play that before I hit the water.. . and the Navy Hymn.. but the Duckwater and the Layout Addictions will require much larger seas to go down......lol
 
Phil,

It is always interesting to try and explain what a true layout boat is to my relatives and acquaintances. Your video is what I will share with them the next time they ask.
 
A classic song and singer! Wish the birds cooperated for you! Have you tried flagging? My dad would wave his white handkerchief to get those divers attention. Man I miss those days!
