Leaky rivets

Lol. I appreciate all the encouragement. I neglected to say that we just paid off the travel trailer this month. I'm not sure replacing the payment with a new boat is in my best interest! I think I'll give it some time before bringing it up.
I don't know, seems like a safety issue to me, one that needs immediate replacement before you're out in it and it sinks. You sure wouldn't want that investment in a new motor to go under water.

Yep, the loigical way to explain to wife is boat hull may give way at anytime and sink losing new motor to the deep. Or even better hulls bad enough it may come apart going down hwy. on trailer crashing motor and possibly injuring other drivers & vehicles. That could open you to law suits. Much less expense to get a new hull!

My buddy used to bring new guns home in an old gun case. When questioned by the Mrs, he would reply, " No, I've had this gun forever." Worked like a charm because in is wife's mind all guns looked alike.
Any chance this would work with a new boat and old trailer?

That ones been tried with mixed results. My best result was when I scored a pair of identical duck boats, only had to take heat for one. :D

Im so guilty of this with duck calls over years. Most recently.... with firearms and suppressors. We have a big camping trip with friends coming up in June. Im taking a few new ones. I know im going to get questioned then. MOST certainly going with this answer then. "Had em for awhile now" and follow it up with "I told you I was gonna get them when we first talked about it all that time ago".

The worst part, I have mondays off and she works. So ive been coordinating all my suppressor buying and picking up on mondays. The other day, I got one of those stupid camera light tickets. 46 in a 35. $100 ticket. She brings it to me so pissed off. I just kept waiting and waiting for the question... "What in the hell were you doing there on a Monday" and I would of had to come clean with it all. It was never asked. Shocked but still waiting for it to come any day now lol.

I bring home all my electric guitars in one particular case. She's only asked a couple of times through the years. I do buy and sell so the amount of guitars in the stable doesn't cause questions. A boat on the other hand?...Hmmm

Well if you rid of this boat and just show up with the new one on the trailer. Same amount of boats still. Just like the guitars. Its worked in the past, think it should still keep working. Test the theory, we are all here to see how it goes down. Should make for a fantastic story.

Had the same problem. Tried epoxy and it didn't hold up. Tried JB weld and still holding up and leak free. I used to make fun of that stuff. No more
