Took these pictures a couple of years ago on one of my annual reunion/ check out the old neighborhood trips. I wont say where this is, but I will say that it is only a few miles southeast from John Livoti's house. If John takes the scenic route to work[Montauk Hwy] instead of Southern state Pkwy, he would drive right past it! If you paste the three pictures together you will have a big panoramic of this little mill pond park. Long Island had such a rich history of waterfowling, and ducks too! its comforting to know that many of the younger generation are following in the tradition. Many of my friends from my youth, who I worked on the bay with, were decendants of market gunners and had tons of great stories from the old days. Too bad most of them are gone now or have moved to other parts of the country, like Me. Maybe my son or grandsons will someday tell stories of us hunting North Dakota or even florida. Then again there arent any ducks in florida! Can you tell business is slow and duck season is still a few months away. Better stop rambling and get back to work. Rich

A little wonder bread could go a long way there. LOL Great pics, unfortunetly they only made the longing for the opener worse.

Thats a great spot. Best place is to set up is right on the small island in the middle. You can cover 360 degrees and limit out quickly with a nice mixed bag. Then when your done drop a line for some bass.
By the way Rich, I stopped for breakfast today had a buttered roll for you;)
