longtail ducks on lake michigan

had a few great hunts on lake michigan out of the layout

wed got 11 drakes and 1 white wing scotter

The wind came in thursday and it looks like we wont be makeing it out again before we have to go back to work

if the wind calms down a little we might try the bay saturday

we were thinking about going today but 4 to 7 footer on the bay scratched that idea

My rule for Old Squaw hunting from this side of the lake is west wind at no more than 10 mph. And even at 10 mph or less tomorrow afternoon, the left over rollers from today's gale will take a while to settle down. So much can go so wrong in a heart beat when dealing with big water.
 
We are not planning on going to lake michigan
the bay for divers is what we were thinking for tomorrow

seaducks are done for us till next year what a shame
it is some in your face action
 
That's good Joe. Pretty much someplace to get out of the wind on the Bay no matter what the wind direction. Good luck.
