My St. Croix split the graphite at a male ferrule for the 2nd time - this time on a trout trip to West Virginia. I will send it back and get it fixed, but am thinking it will just go as a backup rod from now on.

Looking for an 8'6" or 9' 5-weight. 6-weight wouldn't be a bad choice either, for down here in Arkansas.

Didn't know if someone had a rig they wanted to get rid of at a reasonable price...
 
I'm downsizing; I'll see what I have that may fit the bill. I'm pretty sure I have a Pflueger Trion in 9/6, but there may be others. Are you looking for a specific brand?
 
I have a brand new st croix that i never used that you can have for 50 plus shipping not sure wat weight believe its 6 i will check when i get home from work
 
Here's what I have that I can put my hands on immediately. I've got a 9' for a six weight Pflueger Trion that has seen little use. It casts a six really well, but it is a bit heavier than, say, a G.Loomis for a six. I'd like $40 including standard shipping.

I also have a Cabela's prototype rod that is supposed to handle an eight-weight, but it's too soft for that in my estimation. I'm thinking it would be idea with a seven weight or maybe a seven-weight GPX line. It's been cast maybe 20 times total. Same deal.

I also have an unused Pflueger Trion in a 10 weight.
 
Those are a little heavy for what I'm doing. Thanks, though. If I get in the market for a 7, I'll get in touch with you.

Sorry I was out of pocket for a few days. Bronchitis and work have had me tied up, down, or whatever the direction might be...
 
If it's a 5-weight, let me know the details...I'm a little leery of St. Croix since I just broke mine for the second time...
 
I have a 4 wt Redington that I have never used. I'd have to double check the length, it's either a 7'-6" or 9', I don't recall. Let me know if you're interested and I'll check.

I have a 5 wt Redington 9' that I would recommend purchasing...Been fishing with it for 6 seasons mainly on warm water species such as bluegill and bass...Now the caveat is that the rod has been used mainly for topwater dry flies and poppers...Changing my leaders out between 3X to 7X depending on the wind, location,and size of popper I have used...My line type is the WF-5-F...So I do not know the response if the line changes...For the Weight forward line it has worked well...
