Looking for a gun stock

Not sure where to list this, didn't seem like a Classified add. My dad bought me a Franchi 451 O/U a few years ago. Due to a gun case that wasn't zippered all the way the gun slid out and landed on the bottom corner of the stock and took a decent size chunk out of the wood and broke the butt plate. I am by no means an expert wood worker, I'm sure someone here has the talent to fix the wood but I'm not one of them. That being said does anyone know where I could find a replacement stock? Google gave me guns for sale but not just the stock. It was a gift from dad so I'd like to fix it. Thanks for any help

can you post a picture? there are folks that can do remarkable repairs on broken wood

might be able to recommend some one if its fixable

I'm sure replacing the stock would be quite expensive. I believe Benelli is the US rep for Franchi and you could call them and see if a stock is available. If that model is still made, I'd think the stock would be available. The # is 301-283-6981
If you have the piece that is broken off there are woodsmiths out there. On another site a guy by the name of Dave Wolf out of Waco, TX got rave reviews. I haven't used him but intend to. His # is 254-662-6431
Good luck.

Matt,
I had the same experience happen to me with my Guerini O/U. The sound of my new gun buttstock hitting the cement made me sick to my stomach. All is not lost.....my gun dealer had a great woodworking gunsmith to fix it "good as new". Do you have the piece that broke off? Good gun woodworkers should be able to make it so you won't notice it. Plenty of knowledgeable guys here to help with names.
Good luck,
Louie

I checked both places I get parts from: http://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/ctgy/franchi-pro-shop and https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Franchi-33248/Shotguns-36291/OverUnder-40847/451PeregrineOverUnder-37687.htm and it appears neither carries a butt stock for that gun. I would check with the manufacturer and ask two questions: Is that stock available? and Is it interchangeable with another model? Here is the contact info.
Benelli USA Corp.
17603 Indian Head Highway
Accokeek, Maryland 20607
P 301.283.6981
F 301.283.6988
E info@franchiusa.com franchiusa.com

The other alternative as others have said is to have it fixed by a good stock guy (or gal) - I don't have any references for you on that.

Thank you guys for all the info. I knew this was the place to post. I will try to post up a pic. Macon seems to have the exact stock BUT I have the walnut version and $475 is a lot to make a $500 gun pretty again lol. Scott thanks I will give them a call. And I do not have the piece that broke out. I moved and sometime during the move I lost it.
