I keep a 2ton come a long and tow strap in the truck for this very reason (and any other application). the electric winches are nice but outright cost and then maint lead me to the hand crank deals. Even the kind that you use for your boat trailer are at harbor freight for very cheap and that makes them replaceable once they rust out.

I don't have much to offer except and observation of Marks situation.
Given the space constraints of pulling an ice shack into a passenger vehicle, some sort of compact winch would be the ideal choice over a hand operated device. A come-a-long or block and tackle would require access space to be able to apply the force needed for these to function. Not that they wouldn't do the job, but just that they may not fit well within the desired application.
