Just returned from swla from my camp. The weather slowed things down a bit but still a good hunt. Heres some pics

Banded drake mottled duck . Banded in 2006 bird was hatched in 2005 or earlier according to usfws

This is Ranger at 8 months. The weather was cold so only hunted him 2 out of 6 days. Picked up 8 one day and 13 the other including this blue dart

First morning mixed bag. The pintails came in on a strong wind cupped up so tight their wingtips were touching

a 20x36 tunnel boat followed me back to Illinois

Nice (old!) mottled duck! And a really nice mixed bag. That bluewing is a mounter

I got the privilege of hunting SWLA this year, killed a mottled as well (first one) great area. My mom lives down that way. Next time your in the area look me up, maybe I'll be around and we can talk decoys or boats or such! Great haul!

Bob, very nice. Beautiful BWT. Is the tunnel boat something you picked up or do you usually leave it at your camp.

Best - Paul

The tunnel has been used at the camp but we are trending to surface drive mud motors. It usually carried a 25 merc but has seen a 40 in the past. Best with a ss prop worked over to create a cup on the leading edge. For most of my applications i like skinny long boats. Probably my preference for canoes

The boat was built in 1986 . I was told that it was built by a man that built them for an Amaco Oil Co. lease. The title just says tunnel under Manf.
