I want to go back out to maine this comeing fall and since Bill Wasson is not guideing anymore and has no suggestions , can someone point me in the right direction . Thank you .

My cousin and buddy just went with Penobscott Bay Outfitters this year. My other buddy, who is a full time guide, has gone with them several times in the past. Heard nothing but good things about the hunts. And the food is great too.

Gotta run Chessie up in this cold water. The only way to do it for sea ducking. They work great love to go cant kill there drive . Just thought id speak for A chess every one seem to speak highly of labs till you hunt over a chessie never go back I bet.

Have you thought about freelancing? I guess it depends on where your coming from (trailering a boat from half-way across the country isnt the most feasible) but seaduck hunting isn't the hardest nut to crack. One or two days to find the birds and pattern them and you pretty much have it. Just one option. I find it very fulfilling when I set out on a self-guided adventure and it all comes together.

If you don't find any guides up that way or you are looking for new scenery you might google Boston Harbor hunts or Cape cod hunts.

Give Rich @ www.downeastseaducks.com a call. Lots of experience, big boat, safe history.

Drop me a PM in the fall, not sure what part of maine you are looking to visit. I'm near Freeport/Brunswick. Do Ok with Sea ducks, Divers and puddlers. I live about 2 miles from Merrymeeting Bay. I'm actually in the process of building a Merrymeeting Bay Float this winter. SHould be done for next fall.

We plan on coming out and staying around Freeport and the women will shop and myself and my Father inlaw would like to go Sea duck hunting for one day . I have been and would love to go again and he has never and would like to . Is the web sight yours our would you like me to PM you ,If so shoot me your email . Thank you for the help .

I wish I was a Guide! The website is not mine. Rich from Downeast Sea Ducks has guided several friends who had nothing but great things to say about the experience. If you don't hook up with a guide, shoot me a PM, I'll see what I can do to put you on some birds. My boat only has room for one other, but I'm sure we can figure something out. I would Google Maine Sea Duck hunting and see what you come up with. I know there are a few guys that guide out of Bath, a few miles up the road from Freeport, but their names escape me.
