Mainline: Rig 'em Right?

Has anybody used the Rig 'em Right 1/4" mainline? I need to rig together some brant. It have a couple more dozen Herters 96 geese that I painted as brant to rig up. I am wondering how stiff the line is. The stiffer the better for avoiding snarls and tangles.

I have one long line set which I think is what Knutson sells as their Model # DR-1. It is very basic with simple snaps for each decoy. The line itself is pretty stiff and works well.

I am asking about the Rig 'em Right line since Cabelas sells it and I have some credit there.

I have one long line setup using the Rig 'em Right longline. It works well. I have avoided tangles with it and the decoys seem to stay put when clipped on. If you have the bucks at Cabela's and need some line it would be a good deal. I need another 4-5 lines for this year. I am looking towards Doctari longlines to hopefully save some money.

I think I have about a mile of the Rig Em Right mainline. (I might be exagerating a bit but I do have at least eight lengths of it.) I use it often and have no issues. I do have tarred line as well and actually prefer the Rig Em Right line. I like the way it can be spooled up or coiled and tied off.

This reminds me that I have to do some serious dropper work before October.

That's all I use for my sea duck longlines, I have 8 set-ups. Have some of them going into the fifth season, untreated. Still works great and tangle free. I take the 150' roll and make two 75' sections, one goes to the anchor for slope and the other I mark in 4-5 or 6' marks to clip my droppers to, this section stays clipped to the decoys for the season, I do have slotted bags too. Can't say enough good about it.

Buy it, JMO though.

this rope works great have not had a problem with it

the 3 pound anchors will also hold a 2 dozen decoy line with no problem in 2 to 3 footers

if you are sea duck hunting I would use more weight

I got one rig in the bargain cave at cabelas for 80 bucks what a deal

gander also used to have a good deal with no shipping

good luck

When it come to mainline rigs you can't beat the ones from Decoy Rigs.
Bob will make you anything you want, if you can't find it already...... First class guy that treats his customers right! I have some mainline rigs from Decoy Rigs that 10-12 years old and still as good as the day I bought them.
