That bird was way off it's beaten track..Glad you posted that link. I seem to be having the normal problems related to this site and posting pics.Thanks for sharing.

Saw one flying with some wood ducks in South Jersey one spring.
I have one mounted in my Taxidermy shop.

Buddy of mine had one that came to his yard to be fed with the local mallards. Stayed for 4-5 months. Would beat up on the mallards if they got in his way. Would hate to build a rig, too much paint.

I bagged a Mandarin some years ago one hunting season. Upon investigating the species found out a gentlemen rasied exotic Ducks two towns over. My Mandarin and a few others had escaped.
So much for my theory that my Mandarin was blown off course in a Bearing Sea Storm, migrated across the Canadian Provinces and bagged buy myself on Eastern L.I., NY.
