Guys and Dani,
Houses dressed with wreaths and lights. Fraser firs or balsams standing in their place of honor. Presents wrapped and ready as signs of love and friendship. Stoves laden with cooking pots. Ovens wafting smells of pies and cookies. Children bursting with anticipation.

It is a glorious time of the year.

Last Saturday I encountered other colors. While scouting new spots for our sport, I encountered the gaudy drake wood duck and the impeccable dress of the full plumage drake mallard. Because of the loud CRUNCH of dry sycamore leaves, it was impossible to steal close. There they flew away. The December sun, low in the sky, highlighted the nearby hills. The air was clean and crisp. Beautiful!

Colors inside our homes and colors outside where we follow our sport. With friends and family to share it all. What a privilege to be alive!

Our holiday on this forum is tinged with remembrance of those friends and loved ones we lost this year. Nevertheless, we celebrate and for those who will have it, remember the One who brought us both color and Christmas.

Blessed Christmas to all!
Larry

Merry Christmas to our whole DHBP family.
I hope Santa brings you decoys, calls and waders.

Here's to remembering the friends and family we lost this year, and looking forward to new friends, family and to good health and fortunes in the New Year.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Larry and to everybody in the Duckboats.net family.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was pretty low key but OF COURSE included a delicious prime rib.

A belated Merry Christmas to all

Good morning,Larry & All~

We have been enjoying a long holiday season here - with my daughter's family in from Berlin and many others here stateside.

My Grandson has already gotten ducks and boats from me - so this year was a Tractor and a Hay Wagon - that came out of the shop in the wee hours of Christmas morning. Without any instruction, his 2-year-old brain hitched up the 2 vehicles, filled the wagon with toys - and put the Panda at the helm.
