Here is what I took. Good seeing everybody and thank you for coming out. Pauly, David, Andrew, great to see your Michigan crew! And, great to see Lenny coming all the way from Jersey. Geoff, Jack and Reggie, thank you so much for sharing your time and talents. And, thanks to Rick Sandstrom and the Midwest Decoy Collectors for allowing us contemporary carvers to share our goodness in a vintage decoy show. We're all in this together...

Thanks guys! You're the best! Pat

Great pics, really nice birds. Just got back from OC Maryland, the Worlds. Lots of nice birds, but down in numbers. Still a good time, even ate a FEW crabs...

Kris - I enjoy Cameron's work as well. As an incentive to consider attending next years' show, there is a reliable rumor that Cameron will have a sizeable display of his work next year as our featured carver in our Carver's Corner Exhibit Area.

Something to think about... Pat

Very nice Pat, and it was good to see you and Tim, and meet Paul.

I liked the show a lot because a number of regions were welll represented. I got my shorebird ID'd and met a number of collectors, saw a lot of nice decoys. But I was dissappointed that people started taking down about 1pm and it closed at 2pm. I understand it goes on the whole week with room to room and people want to get going, but I was rushed going through and seeing all the booths when I arrived Sat morning. Having the show open only 4-5 hours on a Sat and not at all on Sunday is not very public freindly especially when they are traveling in from somewhere or juggling honey do's. I wouldnt make the 12 hour trip again unless I showed up early in the week, but I also can't justify taking that much time off work.

Bill - I agree and am not sure what to do about it. It surprised me they closed at 7:00 on Friday night as well. I will pass your feedback along to Rick Sandstrom.

I apopreciate your feedback. Good to see you and Marty. Pat

Wow 7pm is early. I quess my overall impression is the show is really about room to room and the auction. Marty went Wed night and spent hours and hours going to rooms. Compared to Henry where the isles where packed, St Charles isles were desolate. Its too bad becuase I love all the regions represented, but I would imagine its an uphill battle.
