My bride surprised me at the dinner table tonight. I was expecting Sloppy Joe's, but the kids talked her into our favorite..........

Mallard in Blackberry Zinfandel sauce, Minnesota grown Wild rice with apple and cherries, and Broccolini. Oh, I almost forgot! Great Grandma's Place mats.
Not too bad for a city girl.

++2 on the better half! I have always thought a good Zinfandel and either blackberries or currants to be a nearly perfect accompanyment to duck and wild rice. bon appétit!

Great duck photo of DEEEEElicious food. If we had more photo's like that, instead of our "dead birds - got these SOB's at....." Just maybe, we could entice more people to join us, and hunt for good vittles. Instead of them having negative notions about us. Almost Everyone LOVES Good Food. Who could resist a photo like that, but a vegan? Just my 2 cents.
