The winner Rick Brown in the Barnegat style for Black Duck

Lenny Maiorano pulls a strong second. Very nice work since Lenny mainly carves the Delaware style.

This was a really nice Mallard. Pics do not do it any justice.

Just an awesome ringneck. I think rick Brown did this as well?

Very stunning black. I couldn't get the flash to work on this one. The head was nicely done.

Jim Romig did very well in the Merganser class.

A rig of these Ringneck from Jim Romig would make any hunter proud.

Lenny pulled a third as well. I need to pick this up but he ducked out to show Geoff Vine some local stuff

There were some really nice decoys at this show and it certainly perked my interest to start carving. I had a nice conversation with Jim Romig and I am going to get started with a little guidance from him. I wish I had time to sit and enjoy the seminars as well but I had too many commitments today to get it all done.

Mike,

Thanks for the photos!!! I've always heard good things about the Toms River Show but it's just too far of a drive for me. Now I can't wait for the Westlake show...

My hats off to Rick Brown and James Romig for there wins. Sweet style!

I've known Lenny for a few years. I just got off the phone with Lenny and I have dibs on the Pintail. He is always so helpful with questions about anything from carving to decoy setups. We finally got around to doing a couple of hunts this year. One that was really great.

I am going to head out to the Long Island show, the Parkertown show and I can't wait for the Havre De Grace show. I plan on being there the whole weekend.

I couldn't agree more. That big black duck was increadible! I over heard the carver talking to another guy. He is from Lewes, DE. I believe he actually took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the marsh duck category but, his most amazing pieces was a canvas Spoonie. I think it one best in show but, don't qoute me on any of it. I have a few pics I took on a crapy camera I will try to upload.

Charlie,

Hope this helps.

John

Thanks John, I delivered my DW 19' to its new owner at that show last year,I think. Its an indoor as well as outdoor show, if it is the same one I am thinking of. Tough getting older with a bad case of C.R.S.

A new set of dekes will help with the C.R.S.

You are correct Charlie they are always vendors outside. Last year had some pretty crappy weather. Dave Clark was there with an Estuary
