Mossberg 935 Autoloader feedback , good or bad?

I'm thinking about getting a Mossberg 935 Autoloader for use with 3 1/2" loads. Has anyone used this gun? Any feedback would be great. I'm not sure if I want to go with a 12ga 3 1/2" loads or just move up to a 10ga. for the long shots. My old Mossberg 500 has done the job for the last 25+ years but I'm thinking about getting a new shotgun and not sure which way to go. I'm on a bit of a budget so some of the higher priced guns are not an option.
Thanks in advance

John,
I got a 935 last season and used it on 50+ hunts with no problems. Some days it was 10 degrees or so and no problems with freezing up, jamming, etc......... I highly recommend this gun to anyone. I hardly ever shoot 3 1/2" shells, mostly 3", {Winchester Drylok} and no issues.

John,
A friend of mine looked into the Remington made by Baikal which had a good price-- and loves that gun (I think he got his for about $400 new) He posts here once in awhile. I've never used a mossberg, I watch an old mossberg barrel fly off while rabbit hunting many moons ago-- so I just stayed away from them. From what I hear the new mossbergs are very good.

Thanks for the input. After I had posted here I came across a few negative comments regarding the quality of Mossbergs in general and some specific to the 935. I could not be happier with the service I have gotten out of my 500. It owes me nothing. I'm just looking to get another gun that can reach out and pull down a few more big birds at distance.

Hopefully they'll come in closer this year and you won't need the bigger load.

Getting out there for early goose?

I've used mossbergs all my life . Very few problems. I use the 835 as my main line gun and keep the 835 for people who have problems with their guns. Mossbergs are one of the best patterning guns right out of the box. That is because the barrell is a bit over bored. Some folks complain that the mossbergs are "sloppy" . Actually it can be that "looseness" that helps keep it from jamming. I have a friend in the marines and he says they use mossberg shotguns because they are reliable even when dirty.

All guns have problems but I have had almost none with the mossbergs. I'd buy another and you can't beat the price.

I spoke to Mossberg today and they said they did have a problem with the earlier 935 but the problem has been corrected and the new guns have been problem free. I have used my old Mossberg 500 for over 25 years and have have run thousands of rounds through it and never had a problem. So I think I'll probably pick up a new 935 soon.
