Motor issues and December hunting

To start with... I made a big mistake and took a hen when I should have held my trigger for one of many future bulls to come. After I got my limit on Cans, I had them swimming and feeding, AND SLEEPING in my decoys for almost an hour. I must have done something right!

As I was leaving... I thought my motor had given up on me... It was making this huge thumping sound OR LOUD CLUCK when I would put in forward... Then I realized I found a gift. I had found a Texas rig line. it even still had the mushroom weight on it!

Good stuff. I'm sure Kodi was wondering why the heck you weren't shooting them cans.

I do Texas rig the plastic in my rig... but the is was not the clear 400# mono I use... this was orange... So... nice try, I didn't the rip the rigging off of my own decoy!

That's a better result than I was expecting. I've heard a clunk after an evening late season goose hunt before. Except mine was ice in the lower unit ripping it to shreds. A tangled piece of weed wackier line is way better.

But now keep am eye on lower unit oil.

Also the sleeping can shot is great. We hunt over half sleeper foamers.
