Motor Problem

I have a Evinrude Tracker 40 horse TE40ELEIA ser. G 02586084 This motor has been a reliable starter in all kinds of weather. but...... didn't start took the hood off. noticed fuel coming from ??? Have picture... right by the red lever... happens when I turn on prime.. I don't know what that part is called or the part number.. If I were to bet money I think that the problem.. The part is made out of plastic.

nevermind, it is a 1991 model year. I just looked it up.

Pete,

That whole assembly is the electric primer solenoid. It would seem that the gasket is leaking( #7 in the diagram).

That would be part #0333448 for just the gasket. It might also be the o-ring on the red lever (#13 in the diagram) which is part #0333447.

Thanks Dave, It could be part 13 or 6 It was leaking in that area.
