Dave,

Thanks for explaining how you are so efficient. I am in a project now that requires real focus and carrying objectives in a specific way under a time fuse. Glad to read how you go about approaching projects. Very insightful.

Tom.

Glad you appreciate the weedless lower unit. Makes sense that the previous owner used a weedless on this boat. My father had one when I was a boy but I don't think it was a Johnson. I have a vague memory of it breaking and my father explaining how expensive it was to get it fixed. I am glad to have this antique running. Still have to go out and give it a sea test. See if it passes then.

I seem to remember reading about how you rescued the boat from rotting away. I was impressed to read your story. Stories like yours helped guide me toward the Merrymeeting Bay Gunning Float. Nice looking boat!

Am I correct in thinking you are using Parker's Bay Gray on the second boat? How do you like that paint? Parker Coatings are bookmarked in my boat folder. Thanks for showing me what a boat looks like painted in Parker Bay Gray.

That is Parker boat paint but I believe it was "hunter green" if I remember right. My first boat is a TDB, but the second is an unmolested sculler that was built in 196? ..... Im fortunate enough to have a place right on Merrymeeting Bay and there are still a few of us diehard scullers still on the bay.

Post pictures of your progress.

I double checked Parker paint colors online and your memory is right. I am surprised how blackish gray that color appeared in the picture.
