First off, let me say it takes a lot of guts to post pictures of your work out on the net, especially when they don't come anywhere close to the other pics you see out here. However, I made them and to a degree, I am proud of my work.
I made these to go with my son's goldeneye I posted a couple of months ago thathe made for his art fair project. We just started another five GE to finish out a bag of all wooden decoys.
My wife referred to these as the after nine collection, because the only time I get to work on anything is after both kids are in bed.
So here they are:
The bodies and heads are made from 2 x material with the bodies hollowed out and being cheap the paint is from Fleet Farm. Looking back, I wish I wouldn't have primed the wood, so more of the grain would have shown thur, but oh well.
The GE will be painted the same way, hopefully with my son doing all of the painting. I have started to invest in better quality paint, as the local hobby store runs a 40% off coupon every other week. Once the GE are done, I will be moving on to cans and some others.
