NBR/NDR: Turkeys turkeys turkeys...

It's about that time of year and my insomnia has started earlier than usual... I haven't slept a solid night since 3/8 and our season starts on 3/15. Headed out West to TX this year in April for my first chance at Rio Grande birds, should make for a memorable season on top of getting access to some new property in AL. Anyone on here hunting already (Florida that is)?

I'm as ready as can be! Been making calls for a solid month now and I have some birds taunting me on the back 40. The winter has been mild so far, and hopefully this latest storm won't be to bad.

Tx sounds fun. I have a friend there that does pretty well. Sounds like a fun trip! Update us!

My sister who is the VP at Carhartt did a corporate ladies hunt down in TX about 3 years ago and killed a huge gobbler. It was her first turkey hunt!
They had a blast, tons of birds seen by everyone and they had 100% success.

Kyle-

Good luck in TX, hope you have lots of fun.

The youth season was this past weekend. Our regular season opens this coming weekend. I've got a gobbler that I've been talking to across the street on timber paper property. I keep trying to see if he'll come over and visit me on my property but so far all I can do is talk him into coming into range of the road. Sadly, he's not shootable. BUT I've been having fun with him and am looking forward to this coming weekend.

So, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon
