NDR - Big Game Vest Question

I am looking for a vest for deer hunting. I want something that can hold a days worth of gear and will hold up to hard use. It also has to be blaze orange. I would prefer some sort of camo orange. Any opinions on Cabelas "Ultimate" Pack Vest, Cabelas Natural Gear Blaze Vest, or Filsons Orange Cruiser Vest would be appreciated. The reviews on Cabelas were mixed. Any other suggetions would be appreciated as well.
Thanks.

Sam,

I have to assume that you already know what will meet the hunting regulations in the area you hunt. That said, in some states "camo orange" is NOT interchangable with "blaze orange".

Yes I know the regs. I only need 250 on my head chest and back. A hat counts for 100 and pretty much any vest has well over the remaining 150 necessary. Some states are much higher as I understand.

Sam, Take a look at the Primos brand vests, both of my sons use the bowhunter vest when in their tree stands.

I belive they also make a rifle hunter model that comes in Blaze, it has lots of pockets for gear.

I suggest you use a back pack. Put your orange vest, or another orange vest over it. That way you can take the pack off when you stop. or use it for a rest on a long shot. Don't forget a VERY good pair of binoculars.... and a compass.

I can fit everything I need into my pockets on a small game vest when I am not stand hunting all day.
In PA the shots tend to be short in the woods and the woods aren't that big.
I think I am going to give the Cabelas Ultimate a try and customize it a bit. The Primos does look good too.
