NDR - Home Security Cameras. We were vandalized again last night.

I would move forward on some type of home security system. Also don't believe the police when they tell you "we have some suspects and are following up on them" This really means that they want you to feel secure in them doing their job and make you falsly believe that justice will be served. In most vandalism cases they need to catch them red handed or have someone identify them and provide really good evidence.(like video) Otherwise its a lot of heresay and if they confront the suspect then the suspect lays low for a while. Don't take this as bashing cops, they have a ton of stuff to deal with and vandalism just isn't an easy one to catch. However, they do tend to tell you stuff that isn't always accurate....like "we have some suspects we are following up with"
Our condo got tagged about a year ago, the police told us almost the exact same thing but nobody was ever caught. Good luck, it sounds like you are headed in the right direction for future prevention or prosecution.

Mark,
Hide it in a bush, inside a bird house or bird feeder or any other lawn ornament. You must already have a lawn gnome or two don't you?????

Hey, I think lawn gnomes are required by law in Minnesota.

Not in Minnesota. They are scary and someone might be offended. We can have fairy princesses and pink flamingo's however consideration of removing the flamingo allowance is currently in a congressional conference.

Well,
I may have to get one of those machinegun paintball rigs. When Carol and I walked out our front door this afternoon going out for dinner, we found the marks of an obvious break in attempt dug into the door facing and trim work around the front door. The metal door was scared up, gouges in the facing and rubber seal all torn up. Not sure when this happened, I'd think during the night. We had not noticed these marks ever before, so they are at least recent. The windows in the back would have been an easier entry if not for an 80 pound labrador.
He may have woofed some and run off the perp, but not sure as we didn't hear anything.
Anyway, Knight now has his sleeping quarters moved to inside the house. Also time to give Carol a refresher course on pointing and squeezing the trigger on a S&W.
Funny thing is that two doors down the street is a deputy sheriff who leaves his patrol car out for everyone to see.
May be putting up a trail camera. Who knows what may get photoed.

Ho no one else here has these problems.
