NDR NJ Turkey hunting

My 11 year old son is finally coming around a little bit. He?s really starting to get into turkeys. He has been helping me scout the past few weeks. I ha e scouted more the past few weeks than I have ever scouted in my life combined. He offered to come with me this morning as well. He was a trooper. I woke him up at 4:20 and by 4:27 he was dressed and ready to go in the kitchen. A really cool product that Ira from MoMarsh makes is the freedom hunter blind. It?s very comfortable and totally conceals you. That?s something that a fidgety 11 year old needs. The Toms were hammering away for 40 minutes at first light and then that was it. No turkey today but it was certainly cool to hear Landon tell his mother about the gobbling today.

Mike~

Great story! Best of luck during the season. "My" Longbeard strolled across the road in front of me this morning - on my way grocery shopping. I'm hoping he becomes "groceries" of a different sort next Friday.
