NDR - Stuck Ice castle fish shack

Mark,
as much as I was laughing reading this at lunch I could not help thinking how much this could be not worth the favor.
A PFD would be a place to start. Good God, rock salt, boiling water and chipping out the outer edge of a 20 x 8 foot area of ice that melted last week, and then backing your truck up to it!
I would consider drilling a few holes a bit away from the palace and putting a 2x4 down the hole for a rope to attach a come along to so you can put pressure on the hut and not need the car next to it.
Hope you get it out and have a load of fun, but be sure you at least get home no matter what.
Bob

Update

Much of the advice given here is being used as I type this. My cousin decided to go out late this afternoon and try to get his Ice Castle out. If it can't get done this afternoon, I'll be hitting the ice with him and a new group of helpers tomorrow sometime. I've been promised an update later this evening.

I secretly hope he doesn't get it out as if so, I won't have pictures to share later.

If at this point it is just the tires frozen in let the air out of them. Get some jacks under the axle and jack it straight up. If the ice is thick enough get a tow truck out there hook up near the axles and try and raise it straight up out of the ruts.
If you start chipping around the tires someone at some point is going to puncture them. So let some air out and releave the pressure against them.
And we all want to see pictures or video!
