NDR...why there may not be any hope for....

...hard working, bill paying, tax paying Americans. I was watching a segment on Fox news this morning about "community organizers" in Ohio who plan on filling up vans with assorted homeless people and taking them to the polls to vote. Evidently the "everyone come vote" law stood up to a court test and you don't have to provide any proof of residency, citizenship, address or even a freakin' ID to vote in Ohio. The folks driving these vans swore with a smirk on their face that they weren't going to try to encourage any of their passengers to vote for Obama. I think we are genuinely screwed. I cannot recall a presidential election where I was so utterly discouraged.

this is not the first State to not require any form of ID or anything else. You show up to vote and you vote. Then you can show up again to vote and vote again. And so on and so on.......

My only advice. Take note of who these goons are that allow for this travesty and vote them out. We get what we vote for.

Yeah Mark, I agree but its damned discouraging to think that some working stiff who uses his lunch hour to vote is going to have his ballot pretty much canceled out and then some by 15 winos in a van.

Dwight...I've sort of come to the same reality the past few days. I read in Newsweek where if Obama loses the black community is planning protests all over the country. Apparently the black talk radio shows are encouraging convicts/criminals to vote and suggesting they check the laws to see if they are allowed to. According to Snoop Dog, tons of his friends and "gangstas" and "gang members" were going to vote and if Obama doesn't get in theirs gonna be some really mad (insert "n" word here). This is just a fantastic scenario. I'd like to kick some of these dumbasses in the nuts.

What's even more disappointing to me is that most of my friends are going to vote for Obama because the union told them to do so. They are buying right into all the BS. It's all W's fault...no matter what you discuss. No matter what you discuss, ie 9/11...it was W's fault. The housing collapse is "all W's fault". Other elitist Chicago Democrats I've spoken with think that McCain and Bush are completely "dumb" and that McCain is a warmonger and "angry". Interestingly, a year ago when my brother was discussing this with me and told me he was rooting for McCain I told him that I wasn't because I was afraid that his fear of war and torture would fog his judgement on those matters.

It's as if history has been completely reconstructed for Obama and the Democrats. Furthermore, they truly believe that McCain and Bush are aligned closely which couldn't be further from the truth. When I mention Obama's stance on guns and hunting my sportsman friends shrug it off. That was really my only hope but apparently these guys who wear camo to church aren't buying it and it's because I'm a Republican and they don't trust and in fact hate Republicans. Which is slightly uncomfortable for me. That is what a 150 years of industrial labor will get you in Lake, Porter and LaPorte County Indiana where most of the big money is from highly paid steelworkers. No offense to any of you that have fed at this trough but I sure wish you could pull your heads out of the Demcrats ass and think for yourselves once in a while. Only a few months ago you were rooting for Hillary and ripping Obama on issues. Unreal freakin' real.

Why hasn't McCain and the Repuclican party done a better job of defending the truth and revealing the hypocrisy? Maybe there really is no "truth" and maybe they deserve to lose. Like my neighbor said yesterday,"It takes a Carter to get a Reagan".

It ain't over until the fat lady sings in November, folks. One thing the Obama folks and their minions in the media are counting on is a dispirited Republican base. No matter what you think of Republicans or Democrats, get out and vote this year to protect your interests!

That won't be an issue for me. I currently write a weekly outdoor column for the local newspaper which is decidedly liberal biased most of the time(shocker!). But, last week they asked me to write a "feature" to be published in two newspapers as well so I'm going to do an unbiased McCain vs Obama piece on sportsmans issues. I'm not sure if there's enough info our there. I'm guessing that odds are that most sportsman will quickly lean in the direction of McCain.

One thing that really bugs the crap out of me is how insulting the average Democrat has become. It's sickening.

well if palin looks foolish tonight - if they don't let her be herself - it ain't gonna happen for the republicans

i don't care that she hasn't had a pasport prior to two years ago, and that she can't recite a litany of supreme court cases on national t.v.

she ran a town - albiet small - and was govenor for two years --- she had an 80+% approval rating and a 75%= democratic approval rating -- so she can't be the total incompetent they make her out to be ---- but the way i see it this is her last chance to show she can be v.p. material

oboma has done nothing but work toward the presidency - he has no record at all - yet NOBODY questions his ability

think its all georges fault ---

Dwight, you ought to rent your own bus and go pick up a bunch of them people yourself. Then just drive them around for a few hours til the polls close.

I'm of the opinion that McCain will lose no matter what happens. IMO his campaign staff has done an absolutely horrible job and I don't know who is running it, but he/she should have been removed months ago. It will be interesting to say the least, to hear all the crying from gun owners who support him should Obama make good on his word to remove ALL firearms from the American public. Tomorrow I am going to apply for my CCW just to be able to say that I had one once along with my AR-15 when it was still legal to do so.

Hey Dwight, this is a great idea. I know where you live and if you go north about 90 miles or so towards Waubay, Enemy Swim and Pickerel Lakes you can find quite a few people to load on a bus. I bet they aren't even registered. Bring along some beverages and you could fill quite a few buses.
