alright guys...I'm looking at buying something but the seller says he doesn't have the item in his possession. I'm thinking HUH???? Anyway, apparently it's in the possession of Drop Shop Stores and he's using them to sell. Has anyone ever heard of or used this company before? Is this company legit? Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Dani,
Sounds fishy to me. I'd definitely do much more searching. I did a quick google search and here's the link. Personally, I'd avoid it.

Dani: similar thing, different "store" name, nearly took a payment from my father on a truck that didn't exist. After a bit of research, I was convinced it was a scam and advised him to bail. He did, and later it was revealed to be a scammer operating out of Toronto. Hopefully none of this is sounding similar to your case.

Dani I've never bought anything from a drop shop store like that but every story I've heard were the seller "doesn't have the item in his possession" has ended up bad. If they want you to wire money run away, those are all fake. Unless you can call a real place with a land line that can describe the item then it is probably fake. It might be real but I've heard about way too many boats, jet skis, tractors and campers that don't exist, most have great prices on craigslist.

Be careful and only pay with a method that can be disputed if you need to.

Your comment "I'm thinking HUH???" sums it up....if thy be skeptical, stay so, and thou shall not get burned..

Unless you are looking at buying some extremely rare beasty of an item and are willing to gamble with your hard earned cash, look around and find another seller.

I've asked around with other folk as well and received much the same answer. I won't be pursuing this since talking to the gentleman selling the item and it still comes off as "odd" to me. Perhaps he's on the up and up but I like to see what I'm buying and this "is not possible."

hmmmmmmmmm

Thanks a lot again

I think that same guy sent me an email asking if he could deposit several million $$$ in my bank account from an offshore account and for my trouble I'd get a percentage... :-)
