Neil Green......great pictures on the earlier posts....

I for one am really enjoying them. You and the wife sure have the photographers eye for capturing captivating shots. Thanks.

Thanks guys...we got plenty.
Glad you are enjoying them.

Nate...

The majority of pics are taken with a Pentax K100D,most critter pics are taken with a Sigma 300mm lens...half the fun is "getting closer"
All the smaller sized pics as well the fishing flies and the pic of me with the Pentax pointed up are taken with a Kodak Easyshare Z700.
The Kodak is a point/shoot that usually accompanies us on the four wheeler which can get a bit rough goin for an SLR sometimes.

Here are some more pics of Harlequin ducks.
I'm quite impressed with these guys, how they handle the surf with ease.
The amount of diving they do and how they do it all at the same time as a group all down one after the other-all up one after the other.
Now if I could get underwater shots of them...oh boy!!!
If you missed the other thread with Harli's here it is...

Neil-

Great shots! Love the Harlequins especially...

The pictures of them diving are neat- that would be a cool decoy to carve- weight the back so the front could stick out of the water and be curved like it is about to go under... I'll have to do one of those some day.

Thanks for posting!

Chris,
I can just see the judges now, "Those birds don't look like that on the water, you don't know what your doing". Then as the crowd gathers for the sure to ensue argument, you just casually whip out one of Neils photos and then ask, "Okay mr. judge, now then, where's my ribbon?"

They do that alot, not a carver myself but would think getting the right "float" would be difficult.
Love to see some pics of the finished product...with a ribbon of course.

Sorry been busy for a bit but still been clickin'.....
Guess who's back in town?
Just some smaller ones for now but the big boys will be along soon...wooohooo!

jeeze neil im realy kicking meself for not getting down your way now looooky them thar horns

i hope they get smart and get out of the open spaces soon or some jacker will add them to the barn..

Dad and I both drew doe tags this year which is a first tho they did put 7000 doe tags in our zone 4 which zone you take yours in?

Dad calls them tags a " see fur shoot tag"

It was real hard for the ol`timers who are used to shooting for meat to slow down and wait and see if it has 3 inch s of horns...when we first went to the doe tag system.

man sum right fine handsum pictures fer sure

or "awfull good meson" in local lingo

Shermie,
You'll have to get down when the Harlequins are back for sure.
Can't wait now with this new lens!!! We'll be counting the scratches in their beaks...lol
Couple from yesterday morning...one true "Valley Buck"
Man he is hefty, won't mind seeing him when he gets a bit rutted up, bet he won't stand as long then or with the other two...
