Its all about Building that Bond.

I like that rolling bench ya made up there. It's a good idea that I might try using some time. I can see how it would be very usefull with or without a boat/ frame on it.

I b uilt the Dread Pirate Roberts on it and found I had it about 10 Inches too tall. I took the side boards which used to stand on their edge and just laid them flat. Height seems to be proper now. The boat will not be a widgeon so much as it progresses. The widgeon is actually the idea for this boat. The changes will be obvious as it goes along.

Nice work Howard, good to see you back at it! I know what you mean on the rolling carts, I've got a low one for the NFZs/Hellcats, a small one for the DHminis and a mid height one for the Duckhunters. Definitely nice to be able to wheel it around to do work.

This one is ten feet long so I can really build about any length I want> I really llike it now because I can use the sides as shelves to lay pencils tape measures, saber saw, drills and what not right at hand. I have five 25 foot tapes and it always seems llike they are all on the other side of the boat.

It's been really nice her the last week. If the weather does nasty up again I can just wheel it down to the back barn. I still have to finish the Dread Pirate Roberts and get her over to Soloman for certification too.

the not enough tapes syndrome......The kids bought their dad a shop apron from Duluth Trading Post, I have grown to like it better than a carpenters apron or electricians tool belt for most projects. The tapes seem to stay at least in one place.

Good luck on the project

Not only do the tapes have feet......squares...chalk line....pencils....hand planes...nail sets.....scribes....chisels....screw drivers...hammers...you name it...if it is a tool it can at least crawl...

Yes Jim, I will. I will be working the VA Waterfowlers booth probably Sat Afternoon as it stands now. We are usually next to Cpt Harry Jobes.

Any time I loaned my tools to one of my kids I could usually find my sockets with tthe lawn mower.

My Kids are 31 and 27, one lives in CO the other in Alaska....now they just buy me things like that shop apron from Duluth The one son-in-law borrows things like table saws and compressors

Howard,

At least you find them.
Between my brother-in-laws and my daughters loaning tools and equipment out I had hung a clip board over the tool bench to sign tools out.
Now the clip board is missing
Go figure
