New Build: Snark Sunflower Layout boat

I just finished this yesterday. its an old snark sunflower sailboat that i turned into this layout boat. it has strings going around it to tuck marsh grass under.. im gonna move it with a kayak paddle. it works great. I'll add some pix in oct. when its bushed up

Nice work. I just picked up an old sunfish hull that I'm going to turn into a sort of sneak box. Heading out to start working on it right now.

what up dave.. yea... its me. & the lil layout is about 50 lbs. it was probally close to 40 when i started.. then added 10-15 lbs of wood and paint. i took it out with my son today and paddled down a creek and back.. it worked great.. scooted right along.. its gonna be a hunter

That looks great. I'm actually looking at a couple of Snarks this weekend, I think....not sure what model, yet. We'll see.

here is the lil layout boat all grassed up... its set up so you can be under the grass.. for now.. untill it lays down ..it should stand for the better part of the season.. it will probally need some spice'in up in jan.
