Mike, The Floatation is as follows

;The seat contains 2.5 cuft/floor 1.7 cuft/ bow 2 cuft for a total of 6.2 cuft. The bow floation chamber actually starts at the rear of the second grass rail. The rest of the bow section is storage. Also a small storage area in the seat (4 inch deck plate).

Thanks for the reply Howard. I was wondering how to get some flotation on my rig. I didn't even consider it thru the rebuild. Now I'd like to get some in her somehow. I have room under the decks along the gunnels that I could get some cut slabs in. Also, I could get some up in the bow, but really need some storage space. Does it come in sheet or block form? If so, what adhesive could I use to affix it?

Mike I use blue or pink foam for places that I can get to like the seat or floor. When i build , I use block in the bow befor I put the decks on then add 2 part foam to fill the voids. On Evil Sandy, because it was a retro fit, I picked up the boat by the stern to get the bow down. (The boat was vertical instead of horizontal) Then I just poured 2 part foam into the bow. If you have never used the 2 part foam befor, it comes in to cans just like epoxy. You mix equal parts and pour into the chamber. 2gal. kit makes 8 cuft. I belive it also comes in a 2 quart kit. It will not melt with contact with gasoline. Blue block will if it is not coved with epoxy. Coast Guard standard states that any floatation material that is within 4 inches of the blige has to be fuel proof. Hope this is not too much info. If you have any questions or if I can help mor4e just give me a shout.

Thanks Howard. That will help plenty. I'll try the 2 part up in the bow storage first and then shop for some block flotation for under the decks above the gunnels. I hope it's as easy as you make it sound.

Hey Howard,

Great job... I love that design, looks about as ducky as a duckboat could possibly get.
