Here are a few more pics of my refurb. I had to go out of town for a bit and that brought things to a hault. Things seem to be moving very slow. I feel like i have been doing nothing but painting. I was able to get the decoy racks put on today. I also spent most of the day getting the floor boards put in to my liking. I screwed them all down but the one board and rigged a turn style system to hold the other. I had to do the boards in two parts. I needed to make the front 18 inches removable to take the gas tank in and out. The tank will be under the foward deck. I was able to finish glassing the hatch cover and get it painted. I also need to start working on the trailer. I wanna clean it up, paint it, and just make it look a little better.

Here is where the removable 18 inches of floor boards will go so i can take the boards out and put the tank in and out under the foward deck

I have one suggestion to you on the turn style...I believe over time of getting in and out the boat that it will get in your way and you will be cussing when it breaks...Plus other circumstances are kneeling down getting bruises on your knee and etc...I can think of tons of things that will happen...Especially in a hunting situation...Anyting that hangs out gets broken and at best we can remove as much variation from our hunts so not to be successful but to make them enjoyable...Instead, take that same board that you can pull in and out and put a friction fastening piece at three positions underneath the blank...

Put these pieces of wood at the three positions closest to the ribs...From the stand point of design it will allow you to pull the wood plank out by shifting either left or right and pivoting out of position...When installed the three position of the three t-shaped wood friction pieces would be underneath the plank...With the t's on the same side being slightly smaller in length so they will lift out... The fit will push the extended arms underneath both planks to either side of the removable plank...I do not have my camera with me...It burnt in my house fire two months ago..But the next time I by my boat I will take pictures of the plank configuration for you...Send me a private message..I have a Bud Miles BBSB...That feature is a wonderful addition to remove so I can sponge water, reomove debris and spent shells...

I know what you mean I wasn't a big fan of the set up I will change it at some point my bigest fear is snaging my wadders on it and ripping them if u have pics that would be great
 
Just put a piece of carpet on top of the floor boards. Hang the carpet on the fence at the end of each hunt to dry it out if needed. That's what I have been doing for years.

Protects your waders and your floor boards.
 
I use a closed cell rubber mat-I have the same issue with the turns- I can receommend a place that sells it cheap.
