When cleaning out Jeff's stuff I came across the first motor he ran on his Black Brant. Around 2000 his motor was giving him problems so he bought a new one and put the old one in the hawk house for another day. When I cleaned out the hawk house I loaded the motor up and took it to a mechanic. I ended up putting more into it than it is worth (new powerhead and rebuilt the lower unit) but dang it sure is fun to run. Not sure I've ever heard of anyone running a 25hp on a Broadbill but it actually performs very well and tops out at 32 mph. I'm already looking forward to the next time I take it to the river.
