New Pup, Advice on an E-Collar?

My old Tritronic Waterfowl training collar is not working anymore, and I'm wondering what E-collar to buy for training.

Seems a lot has changed since I bought my old collar . . .

Contact the collar clinic: https://www.collarclinic.com/ They do repairs, have used/reconditioned collars, etc. It has been a number of year since I have bought a collar so I don't have much advice about new ones. I do know I would look at Dogtra collars along with Tri Tronics/Garmin.

I second the collar clinic. I inherited a collar several years ago when my previous lab was a pup. It was used for a couple of years then lived on a shelf in the garage until this past year when we brought got a new pup into the house. They put in new batteries and cleaned it up for a set fee. It's been working great the past 6 months. They also have very quick turn-around.
 
I would stick with tri tronics you have used them in the past and they worked . Collar clinic is a good choice also lion county supply is another source . I have demoed some of the other brands and they did not hold up as well my opinion. Good luck with the new pup
 
I want to thank everyone for input re my training collar. I enjoy reading the posts from this web site, but do not often post.

I did call the Collar Clinic (as recommended by several people), and have agreed to send in my old collar and trade for a new collar. The Collar Clinic folks were great, and I appreciate the recommendation.
