We just got a golden pup this past weekend. My daughter and I had a great trip down to Alabama to pick him up and see some new country. Even got to hold a couple of Jode Hillman decoys and see them in person which was a real treat as pics don't do them justice. Thanks to Brian and Amanda Story for their hospitality and kindness. They are real class people!! Looking forward to many years in the marsh with this little guy.

He looks like real beauty mate, but dont rush his training let him have his puppyhood, in the longrun it will pay dividens and the Bond between you 2 will be second to none. Good luck

Hey Rich,
I was hoping you would post up pics! Glad things are going well. This pup might hold the record for most items exchanged for ownership-cash, decoys, bag of apples, sack of tomatoes, jar of applebutter, few cucumbers, cedar wood for carving, cork.....
Really enjoyed meeting you all and another example of the fine folks that are part of the duckboat family!

Keep us updated,
Brian

I'm really glad to hear one of Cassie's grandchildren is with a forum member. Looking forward to posts of his development into a duck dog.

I will be looking forward to see how these pups progress, Ambers coming on fine with her training now, but it is mainly OB training but she is retreiving a dummy to my hand when she wants to play but Im not pushing her to much at the moment with only being a pup but she will start her gundog work in another 3 months, in the meantime I will be sending some photo,s over to Lou to post for me.
Take care and God Bless

Thanks for the comments guys. His name is Copper as chosen by my 13 year old daughter. Couldn't say no to her as she made the long trip with me. I'll keep the pics coming.

Copper is a keeper for sure. Nice pics. I'll bet you are already thinking of the 2011/2012 season. Good luck with the training.

He sure is a cutie!! I love his color. Take a TON of pictures, get alot with your daughter in them too. She will cherish them for ever. My girlfriend just lost their family dog so we have been going through old pics. My Kodiak is almost 8 months and I can't believe how fast and big he's gotten. One day I could pick him up and lay him on my forarm as we went out side and today it takes both arms and he's legs are flopping around.

Hey Rich,

What's his name??? His hair kinda looks like Kyle's, hehehehehe;)

Dave, Kyle's is WAY longer, let's be honest.

Cute boy ya got there Rich. Awesome stuff taking your daughter along to get him. I remember riding with my dad to New York for a dog, fun times.
