New Puppy

Picked up Brigitta vom Vogeljager yesterday. She and the old dogs are adjusting nicely so far.

Very nice litter top to bottom, mentally all exceptional, all very active, one or two coats that were a little loose but think they all will be excellent hunters. "Gitta" stood out with her independence, persitance, coat and when she was moving it was full speed. And a noticeable natural retrieve that caught my eye. Her dad would bring back everythiing,( stuff I woundnt touch) this little monster was grabbing stciks and tree branches that were up to 3ft long that she found almost always back near us. she has a caution about her at times that I think she will have a strong pointing instinct as well. Let the fun and work began

Look out pheasants, ducks, quail, and partridge! She is an absolute beauty. You are so right, Bill, because the fun has started. Good luck. I really like all the shots but that second one sure caught my eye.

Excellent puppy! Gitta is a looker, got to love that little roman nose. Looking forward to that first dead skunk retrieve photo. :)

I may need to talk to you once I see what the coats are like in the litter to understand just what to look for. From my untrained eye Gitta looks like she is going to be very close to having the coat (maybe just a touch longer haired?) and color of her mother.

If she meets or exceeds what you did with CATO, she should be super! Man, i love the contrast in coloration between head and the rest of the body!
We missed you at h de g this year, Bill.

More than happy to help, yeah Gitta's coat more than likely will be just a tad longer than mia's, but shorter than Cato's but that will be good. But at this point her coat is not as hard as Mia's that could change though. Mia coat is like a bristle brush. Now in Jim's other litter their were a couple of pups with real hard coats. But Coat is only one thing you still need talent, so its a bit of a balancing act.

What a cuuuuutie Bill. Looks like she'll be fun. Hope she turns out to be everything you hope for and more
