Yesterday morning, we picked up Recon. His full name is Wind River's Duck Reconaissance. He is adjusting well, and him and the old veteran are even getting along - so far.

Andy, Nice looking pup. Too bad about the color. yukyuk. We will have to get Booker and him together. Like Dave said "Now the fun begins". Watch your bed. yukyuk again. Hope all is well w/ you and yours.
 
Nice movie. What are you doing up so late, way past my bedtime. We do need to get together with the pups this summer. Booker is about 6 months now and it is time to work on some serious manners. Charlie is in class and I ended up doing the training with him too even though he is Deb's dog. When we start the next obedience class both dogs will be in so she will have to get busy. Good night.

Why woudl you hunt with a dog that was yellow? I thought thems was for the show ring? lol

GOOD CHOICE and a fine looking lil pup! The big dog looks a lil miffed or trying to figure out how to LOCK the crate
for GOOD!
 
Andy, the pup is awesome. The best part about the color is that you won't have to clean him after every hunt.................and he'll appear more scary to the unwanted visitors...............even though he will probably lick them to death.....................best of luck, Kevin

That's right and if F. Gary Powers was still around you could ask him about that color too.

With all this genetic research maybe some zoon will breed some with camo coats.

Buy a camo vest and don't sweat the small stuff.

Andy,your older Choc lab has a look on his face that speaks volumes.Like,"Ok,I'll let him alone,but why did you bring him home?" "Do I not do everything you want me to do,and he's so damn small,the ducks will carry him,wont they""I'm broken hearted"."Sigh!"
 
The old timer Remi,doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and I have never even seen him stand up for himself in a fight with neighborhood dogs. Whenever the puppy starts playing with him or biting, Remi stands up and walks away.
His health is deteriorating, due to lymphoma and kidney failure. I can tell he doesn't like the situation with new blood in the house, as he has been looking for more attention than usual. It tears me up, but I also need a retriever next season. It sure is a gol damn good thing a guy only has to go through it once per decade if he's lucky!
 
ANdy, I can vouch for how hard it is to replace a best friend but they will be OK Charlie and Booker are the tightest of buddies now. It may be hard to leave Charlie home when fall rolls around but he is Deb's dog as per the deal. He will still be my "B" squad but two dogs in the boat is too much for me. Give Remi a biscuit for me.Good Luck.
