New to the forum, and just got a new boat (well new to me at least). 2008 1436 Weldbilt with a 2012 20 HP Mercury. Will try and put pics up later. Still waiting to sell my old boat.

Welcome! I, too, am a new member - and very happy to be one.
I look forward to your pics. Here is my latest - in an ever-growing fleet. It's just a 16' Mohawk canoe that I picked up locally last winter. I removed the aluminum rails and decks and replaced them with mahogany and cypress - for the quiet. I replaced the 'glass seats (actually, one was missing...) with canvas. We sit just enough lower to keep everything steady when we're jump shooting out of her on freshwater creeks. Some memorable shots from her this season but best was silently rounding a bend to surprise two Bobcats on the banks, 8 yards away.

BTW: Red bottom paint? Because it harkens to my saltwater roots - and looks so good when she's upside down on my roof rack!
