well yesterday I went south to Goodwin. Had a pretty good shoot, though not what I was hoping for. I was really hoping to get into some whistling ducks, but that didn't end up happening for me. Ah well...I did shoot these gorgeous blue wing drakes and a hen. Lost another bluewinged drake and a ringneck drake. It was a pretty day and it didn't start raining until I started driving home.

They are a couple of beautiful drakes!! That's a great looking whistler decoy as well. Who carved it?..........................Kevin

Kevin-

It's an Alan Eastman bird. I was hoping that he'd draw in some of his buddies that were flying all over, looking for a place to set down and rest but alas, the fulvous proved once again to be very wary.

Looks like the lizards were hoping for a little hand feeding from the returning hunters. Nice looking drakes, I sure wish they looked like that in october. One thing I've wondered about them is if they have the same half inch of fat covering them? Mmmmmm roast bluewings over rice so all that wonderful fat can be soaked up.

Hi Dani, I think you need a bit of a reality check on what lizzards are. I am jealous of your weather, we are butt deep in snow and ice. But like I always say "One day closer to open water". Actually the sun came out today and it is in the teens above. Wahoo.

Tom-

I need a reality check on what lizards are?!? Those are BABIES!!! There be MONSTERS in the same water...thems are just little lizards...
