Its that time of year for one of my Favorite New England traditions. The local Fair.
This one is small and down home. Makes for a great day with the kids.

Plenty of restored Tractors for the Dad's.

Hank G, any of these in your yard?

Or the Midway with all the Food Barns.

Or the Unlimited rigs on the Tractor pull. These could be heard all afternoon hauling down the track.

This guy was throwing ringers about every other one

Did I forget the Rides?

Neither one Barfed!

Every fair needs a shooting alley with really cheezzzzy stuffed toys!

Ill be thinking about the fried dough, Dells Lemonade and shaved steak grinders till Next July!

Kids want a rabbit and a bull calf now!

I love it.... neither one barfed. Is the steam press apple cider mill still in operation, I'm talking 30 years ago I was there. Sits up on the hill..you could see the steam or smoke coming up through the trees from I95. Also think it was the last time I was carded and had hard cider.

You would not recognize the place. They built a store toward the front of the road and during the Fall it is packed with cars down the street. Still running the steam boiler to drive the engine that spins the belts for the press and grinder. A cool way to spend an afternoon in October..

The Cider Mill is listed on the national list of historic places.

How cool is that, I'll have to tie that one in on my trip to the cape this fall. What's the name so I can google it . I could probably find my way there...I think it was the next exit after Mystic as your headed NB on I95

Looks great Bob. Generally, I hate activities with crowds, but I do like a town/county/state fair.

Tod,
I just realized that I blew it on the very nice displays in the two halls of baking\jams, flowers and vegetables. The blue ribbon stuff looked very good this year. But I didn't have the camera when I went thru.

What is the good fair over your way in the state?

We go to the Bridgewater country fair every year. Bridgewater is just a town over from us - nice and small, but they do have it all in a nice setting.

I do like the jams/jellies, fruits, veggies and flowers.

I have the brush hog on my Gravely but bit the L that one is a little older than mine. I still ahve to work on my power washer attachment for the Gravely which will be great for keeping the boats clean.

Nice fair shots.

Bridgewater Fair boy does that bring back memories. I have been over every foot of that fair for many years. Spending time watching the ox pulls with my Dad, showing cows and hanging with all my farming friends. That goes way back. It is a very cool fair and the firemen always do a great job with it.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Hank
