Northern Indiana

Didn't want to step in it on some one else's post, especially when it was a sneakbox post.

Northern Indiana was as good to me as a waterfowler as were other locations in the midwest, new england, and a couple provinces in Canada. Having left the region 25 years ago, friends and family still speak highly about their success there.

Ran into a gentleman with a fancy rig (worth more than my truck trailer and boat put together) who said he was selling off his equipment because the ducks just weren't there anymore. I had to admit most days won't be seen on the Best of the Duck Commander Show, but it goes to show you that just being there and having the equipment doesn't mean success.

By the way, the gentleman with fancy rig, was at the ramp on Pool 9 of the Mississippi, so would someone please start espousing how this area isn't even worth the effort. If it works out I have some more spots that need mentioning as a place not worth hunting. Mike

Hey Mike -

Know of any spots up around Gore Pool or North lake where there aren't any ducks? I know of a few where there aren't any ducks but could use a few more spots to not check out.

Seems that the discussion about pool 9 provides coots to ducks depending on ones objective.....

So how much does the gentleman want for his "fancy" duck hunting rig?? If there are no ducks...he should sell cheap and cut his loss..

It's great isn't it? I love when people sit at home and whine and complain about no birds being in their area via phone and internet, when the people that have done the work is out there killing birds. In my opinion they should just sell their gear and give up hunting as it's obvious they aren't true hunters, they are "KILLERS" that lack the love of the sport and drive to find the birds.

Calm..mmmmmm.....think calm soothing thoughts....mmmmmmmmm.....hum to yourself...mmmmmmmm I just found it interesting the range of opinions about pool 9
