Hi to all,

The granddaughter and I planted bare-root trees today even though it had snowed some over night. At this age she is the best help around...

Maybe I best get her a lab puppy...and a boat..in a few years. She already is asking grandpa to take her fishing this spring.

Yes Dani that white stuff is snow.....

It was about 36-38 degrees with a 5 mph wind....cool but not cold.

Yes to the fishing...I think we will take the canoe over to CO in a couple of weeks and fish for northerns.

Lizzy seems to always have fun....I have seen her crying in pain and as the tears are flowing she is saying "Grand pa I am so excited that we are going fishing". The tears were caused by an accidental spray of insect repellant to her eyes and face (she was helping her grand mother apply some and the nozzle got turned - was not DEET).

The good news is that now we know that you are "an old softy"! The other part is this, because of that sweetheart, you will keep going and going----never once looking back or thinking that you might be another year older. Lucky you!
By the way, just make sure you keep that white stuff to the north of us.
