Final approach eliminator is my choice for field hunting, and the new pro-landers are great. I think they are on sale at cabelas. They can be folded up to carry and can hold some decoys also. But for shore hunting I use my avery power hunter because I have hunted some spots that dont have much cover and it lays flatter than most other blinds. Downfall is the flip top lid.

Dave,
I wouldn't put a dog in the blind with me just for safety reasons. I'm sure there are others that may disagree. My buddy used to put his dog in his finisher with him. Put the dog in it's 'dog hut' would be the way to go. My .02......

A ,

When i get the blind my will have heat and running water . We have to get one for shore hunting , don't you think ? I will give you a call this weekend

Dave,

When you find one you like... please get another and I'll pay you back. I'll miss the homemade stick and hay blinds we've built, but you're right, we're getting old and we don't have time anymore to stay creative ; )

I forgot to tell you, Sunny has a major back problem... I don't know if she can effectively hunt anymore... I have to rely on the Spaniel...
