A beginning and Ending:

The youngest daughter was married on April 23, and Barbara's mom passed away in Canby MN on May 8th. We have celebrated a new beginning and now the life of Emile Nevins all in a period of two weeks. Em was 93 and on May 24th she would have been 94.

Now that Barbara and I are officially an empty nesters maybe hunting, fishing, family and grandkids will find more time....now to get rid of the puritan work ethic....

Life keeps right on going no matter what - you might as well live it while you got it. Screw that work stuff if you can. You have had some ups and downs recently, sorry to hear about the downs, the ups sound good.

Empty nesters?!?!? You have still got your cattle don't you?!?! :).

Yes more stock is forth coming..

There ya go then :). Maybe add a nice black dawg too.

We are a long way off from being empty nesters, with Gus turning 4 next week. I don't know how I'll feel then, but it sounds purty good now.

Mat,
quite a year. The days are flying by with three kids in the house. A long way from my last daughters wedding. But lots of life to have happen between now and then.
Sorry to hear about your wife's mother.
I think about what someone who was over 90 saw in her lifetime and am amazed.

I think Puritanical work ethics are good especially if they rub off on others.
Drive safely. Could another list be in the making?

Tod,

Yes a new black dawg would be in order, I lost my lab a few years ago and Barbara and I have a "mutt".. Half border collie and half lab, smart dog but is more interested in hunting pocket gophers and mice HAHAHA!! He has a few bad habits when it comes to upland and waterfowl hunting, he can eat a bird fast... He was given to us when he was 3 and even though we have worked on the bird eating habitat it seems to never go, thus he is a great farmyard dog and I only hunt him in a pinch.
