NOVEMBER - What's on your work bench?

Still painting on redheads I carved late this summer, got a few done this week. A gunning drake, light and dark hen, bottle topper.

Steve my plan is to go up to Pete's later today, we have to scratch the paint of the eyes then the broadbill is done other than a pad weight. I will post up pics tonight i also have a ringer and mallard i will take pics of.

here is a link to Pete and my decoys.

ever since copy paste from Facebook stopped working posting pics is a PITA

Chris~

I get nothing when I go to your Photobucket.

On the other hand, I use Photobucket all the time - I just copy and paste into my dkbts posts.

Best of luck!

Chris~

Wow! They sure look fine! I love them all - but that last tucked-head Black really tugs at my heartstrings.

(You should have started the December Workbench with them!)

All the best to you and Pete,

whoops forgot what day it was. the blacks and mallard and bottom broadbill was Pete's.

the pair of blacks are from a Shang Wheeler pattern

Thanks Chris for posting pictures.
Steve I liked your pattern for the broadbill, just not too happy with the back of mine, but its a neat decoy. The mallard is going in the rig and the blacks are off Shang's pattern (just love the look of the Statford style decoy). I have a Shang broadbill and two more black's started. Then Chris and I are going to make a pintail.

Damn nice decoys! You both have every right to be proud of your work. You should repost in the December thread to give us all a benchmark to shoot for...!

Chris-

That is an absolutely fantastic job on those decoys! They are all beautiful. Haven't you only been carving for only a year or two?

I owe everything to Pete. Just to reiterate, only the top broadbill and ringer were mine. The rest are Pete's.

The clarification is good. However, I will still stand by my, those look fantastic! Your Broadbill and Ringer are fantastic. Great to have Pete as a guide and mentor to the process.
