November Workbench...

Bob, Bob, Bob, if I wanted decoys to look like the old song from the 60's...."and they're all made out of to my tacky and they all look just the same", I would have bought decoys from Bass Pro's Tropical Hunting Catalog.

Sad to hear about the Trailer Park Oil Spill and the did off. Tragic indeed.

Here's my first attempt at a pintail. Thanks to Pat for some direction on the top profile. I painted in oils wet on wet but didn't get the soft look I was hoping for on the tertials or the primaries. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. Too bad I didn't get to keep it. It was for a friend's son's birthday.

Good morning, Bill~

Absolutely gorgeous! It's got it all - the sweet curves, the elegantly simple paint scheme - and that self-possessed attitude!

(I'm curious: Is this species hunted with spear guns?)

All the best,

SJS

Thank you Steve's!

No use, just a shelf rider per usual when I carve the oddities.

The rivers they typically hang out in might be a little much to swim around in with a spear gun...plus who knows what else might be down there!
