Tim

Love it Tim.

Love that Salmon Tim, great colors!

NJ fall Turkey opens up Saturday, not nearly as much pressure as the spring season and a good way to nab one for Thanksgiving. A hollow gunner for the fall birds.

Nothing artistic from me but I made these removable number plates for my sneak boat-they are cypress and have a spring clamp screwed onto the backside for attaching them to either the coaming or front tiedown rails on my sneakboat. The idea behind this is to have them nice and visible for running but easy to lay down and hide them for hunting.

Some bill's I got done for the season. These decoys contain some of my Dad's ashes. I've numbered them 1 through 6 and each of the grandkids, kids and my Mom will get one after the season.

My kids always called him Pappy.....

Be careful that you don't get in trouble for not have your tags and numbers not permenantly attached.

Jim-those bills are fantastic, and that's a wonderful tribute. I really like that idea. Andy-I looked and looked through our regulations, and I couldn't find anything that mentioned the number plates being permanent, as long as the numbers are displayed when you are on the water. I will have to wait and see if it becomes and issue, but I've only been checked once in 8 seasons of hunting out of a boat so I may have to wait a while to find out!

Jim those are great decoys its nice to see the big picture of them. I am going to be nervious hunting over them this winter lets put them on the left side of the layout and you can put Toms birds on the right. If everything works out just right I won't realize I have shot his decoys until the hunt is over.

Cody,
I may be mistaken but I believe my local regulations call for the numbers to be permanently attached also. No where does it define how this is to be done.
In your case, I'd suggest a lightweight plastic coated steel cable. Said cable to be "permanently" attached between the hull of the boat and the number placard you have made. The length of the cable can be a sufficient length to allow you to "stow" the placard when not in use, yet the numbers are still permanently attached to the hull, via the cable.

The problem would arrise if you ran into an activist warden or enforcement agent. Maybe you could attach it with wing nuts, but you would need to have them attached everytime you fire up the motor. Is there any way to put them on a hinge? Flip them up and down.

Good ideas from both of you guys Andy and Dave. I will think it over a bit more and maybe work on a more permanent attatchment.
